4to. 11 x 9.5 inches. 160 pp. Bound in original maroon cloth, gilt,with facsimile signature on front board in pictorial dust wrapper. Slight water creasing at lower right edge of last two pages and rear free endpaper; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. Pictorial endpapers. Well illustrated survey of the portrait output of the artist, Andrew Festing (b.1941), member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters since 1989, and president, 2002-2008. Founded by Patrick Marrin's father George in 1946, Marrin's Bookshop has been based in its current Folkestone location since 1963. Patrick has worked in bookselling since 1970. As well as rare antiquarian books, maps and prints, the stock includes a wide range of literature, library sets, travel, history and illustrated books in all fields. We also offer a bookbinding and restoration service. Visitors to the shop are welcome and we exhibit at UK book fairs.
