at its first session, begin and held at St. Paul, on the third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine. Saint Paul, Printed by James Goodhue and Nathaniel M'Lean, 1850. [Bound with:] Republication of Important Laws of Wisconsin, now in force in the Territory of Minnesota, by Provision of the Organic Act. 4to, original sheep, rubbed with headcaps chipped, boards starting. Red morocco label to spine, titles in gilt, simple rolled decorations in black. Minor scattered foxing and a few marginal nicks and tears, overall a very good clean copy in a contemporary binding. xxxvii (Constitution of the United States), [3 blanks], 108, [2 title-page], [2 blanks], [1], 107-213pp.  Saint Paul, James M. Goodhue, One of the earliest Minnesota imprints.    This is the record of the first session of the Territory of Minnesota legislature. Goodhue and M'Lean were not in partnership, but each printed a part of the work, hence the idiosyncrasies of layout and pagination. American Imprints Inventory, No. 2.
