She and her husband are raising their six teenaged children, three adopted and three biological, on a small hobby farm north of Minneapolis, MN. In the midst of homeschooling their six children, the couple has provided countless hours of respite to families of children struggling with difficult behaviors due to a variety of issues including RAD, Trauma, FAS, and grief. For years, they have walked along side a multitude of adoptive families offering encouragement, expertise, and a hand up. In hopes of helping more families, Stacy created Hope Connections, LLC. in 2011. Her company provides family coaching sessions and educational workshops, sensory tools, and a hands-on learning system designed by Stacy along with a monthly newsletter packed with helpful tidbits.
