Advances in Engineering Materials: Preparation for Sustainable Process Development

This new book covers the most recent developments in materials technology and science, providing deep insight into advanced materials in regard to structural and physical behavior and sustainable real-world applications. It discusses the practical applications of novel materials for emerging technologies, highlighting interesting and exciting mechanical and chemical behaviors and properties of new materials.

The volume also addresses the relationship between structural identities of materials with their property profile. It explains the way we control the process parameters during the preparation of materials in detail in order to obtain the desired features in the form of arrangement of atoms, ions, or molecules, and thereby the preparation of the materials to be in-line with real-world applications.

Tamara Tatrishvili, PhD, is Assistant Professor and Main Specialist at the Office of Academic Process Management (Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences) at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, as well as Director of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry and Polymeric Materials at TSU, Tbilisi, Georgia. She is a DAAD alumna and a member of the Georgian Chemical Society. Her research interests include polymer chemistry, polymeric materials, and chemistry of silicon-organic compounds. She is the executive editor of the Journal of the Georgian Chemical Society. Dr. Tatrishvili is the author of more than 190 scientific publications, 12 books, and several monographs.

A. K. Haghi, PhD, is a retired Professor and has written, co-written, edited or co-edited more than 1000 publications, including books, book chapters, and papers in refereed journals with over 3800 citations and h-index of 32, according to the Google Scholar database. He is currently a Research Associate at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Professor Haghi has received several grants, consulted for several major corporations, and is a frequent speaker to national and international audiences. He is Founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Chemoinformatics and Chemical Engineering and Polymers Research Journal. Professor Haghi has acted as an editorial board member of many international journals. He is a regular reviewer for leading international journals.
