Contemporary marbled boards, corners rubbed, new spine, library stamp with cancel and pencil call numbers on title, no other library marking, the lower corners of the last five plates of Number I and the following first few leaves of Number II with an old brown stain diminishing at each end, one plate in Number I dust-marked along the fore-edge where the plate had been misfolded and exposed, four plates a trifle shaved along the fore-edges affecting the plate numbers and only just touching one figure of one plate, in other ways a very good copy. *GARRISON-MORTON #1390 - 'Mayo described the functions of the facial nerves and did much towards the clarification of the idea of reflex action.' ; NORMAN #1473 [Christie's Norman Auction 1998 lot 1193, @ $2530].
