Vgl. Thieme/Becker XVII, 311. - Das beliebte Motiv der Rheinromantik in einer selten angebotenen Darstellung von Nicolaus Christian Hohe (Signatur "C. Hohe"). Der 1798 in Bayreuth geborene Hohe gilt als hervorragender Vertreter ebendieser "Rheinromantik". Seine Ausbildung erhielt er in München, 1824 zog er nach Poppelsdorf, später nach Bonn. Von 1828 bis zu seinem Tod (1868) war er dort als Universitäts-Zeichenlehrer und wissenschaftlicher Zeichner beschäftigt. Daneben schuf er ein umfangreiches Oeuvre an Landschafts- und Gebäudeansichten aus Bonn und Umgebung. Das Stadtmuseum Bonn widmete ihm 2001 eine eigene Ausstellung. - Linke untere Ecke der Tonplatte mit Fleck, ansonsten lediglich im weißen Rand minimal fleckig, sonst gut. Seller Inventory # 156898
