About this Item
FIRST EDITION, a couple of spots to bottom corner of first text-page, pp. xi, 207, crown 8vo, original blue cloth, backstrip lettered in gilt, edges untrimmed with some faint spotting to fore-edge, dustjacket with shallow chipping to backstrip ends, the backstrip panel a little darkened and some light handling, very good. Significant in its inclusion of Huddleston's March 1922 review of James Joyce's Ulysses, the novel's first notice in print following its publication in February upon which followed, Huddleston's footnote considers, a 'conspiracy of silence' that he was the first to break.
