3 volumes. viii, 5-364, [ii], 43; iv, 5-312; vii, 280 pp. Full brown speckled calf with black and red title labels, with gilt lettering and borders to spines. Wear and slight damage to edges and spine ends, marks to boards, a little splitting to front joints of first 2 volumes. Some ink inscriptions to prelims and occasional small notes within from the 19th century. Slight yellowing to page edges and occasional minor spotting, owner's stickers to front pastedowns. Vol. I is the 'New Edition' (with Supplement); vols. II & III are First Editions (a fourth volume appeared in 1793). A collection of witty and amusing pieces following on from 'The New Foundling Hospital for Wit', containing poems, epigrams, quotes and letters from various sources, many of the authors are credited. This is a heavy set and may require additional postage if being shipped outside of Europe. Small 8vo.
