Fourth edition, October 1955 reprint. Format, octavo, 211mm. Physical description, xii, 403. Illustrations [49] plus [5] in the text, as called Contents clean. Publisher's very dark bluey/grey cloth over boards, head and toe of the backstrip very slightly frayed, title etc. and the title etc barely visible, inside a clear plastic wrapper secured with adhesive now lightly browned. White endpapers,front hinge partially cracked. The front pastedown with the names and addresses in ink of two previous owners. Front and rear endpapers with offsetting from the adhesive tape. Overall, a near very good copy.
