Synopsis

This book, the brown book, completes the series of Beekeeping Study Notes for all the British Beekeepers Association examinations, namely the green and orange volumes for the modules leading to the Intermediate and Advanced certificates, the red book for the Practical Examinationand the blue book for the Microscopy module.

The Scottish Beekeepers' Association and the Federation of Irish Beekeepers' Associations have very similar examinations, namely, the Scottish Basic Beemaster Certificate and the Irish Preliminary Certificate respectively. Additional appendices have been included to provide a volume which covers the three associations basic examinations under one cover.

The notes address the 61 topics in the BBKA syllabus, 3 additional topics for the SBKA syllabus and 3 additional items for the FIBKA syllabus. The examination is explained and prospective candidates should now have no fears of not knowing what to expect when face to face with the examiner.
