A highly original theatrical work parodying Shakespeare's histories, based on Kenneth Koch's 1966 play. Rorem composed the work originally at the request of the Metropolitan Opera (Met) Studio in the 1960s, but it was rejected by them (since they wanted a work for children, which it wasn't). 44 pages. CONDITION: A NEAR FINE unmarked, uncreased copy with moderate cover-wear. its interior ages pristine. This rather scarce score is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board, for safe storage and transport.
