Rorem composed the work originally at the request of the Metropolitan Opera (Met) Studio in the 1960s, but it was rejected by them (since they wanted a work for children, which it wasn't). 44 pages. CONDITION: A NEAR FINE unmarked, uncreased copy with moderate cover-wear. its interior ages pristine.
