A fine and detailed city plan with eight vignettes. "John Tallis published an extremely attractive series of town plans, delicately engraved on steel by John Rapkin and others. Each plan has a number of vignettes of buildings (taken from Dugdale's Curiosities) and an ornate border. The composition of the series was very significant since it included the new industrial towns of the North and Midlands which were growing rapidly in the nineteenth century."
