5-1/2" x 8-3/4", 192pp incl. prelims and halftone frontispiece on coated stock. Printed on acidic paper and bound in sewn signatures in brown trade boards. Minor rubbing, shelf / reading wear, light edge wear to jacket. Minor edge wear to boards, and the corners are bumped. Previous owner's name / address sticker affixed to front paste down, and the original bookseller's purple mandala rubber stamp impression adorns the front free end paper. Binding is square and tight. Pages are age toned, and there is underlining in light pencil throughout.

Canada's oldest independent bookstore, the People's Co-operative Bookstore Association was formed in 1945 by a broad coalition of Vancouver's progressive movements, from trade unionists and Marxists to social democrats and Christian social justice activists. Owned and operated by its member-shareholders, it is a registered co-op operating under the Co-operative Associations Act of British Columbia. Anyone can join. Since 1983, the People's Co-op Bookstore has been located at 1391 Commercial, in the heart of Commercial Drive.
