No date, c 1909. Quarto. Edition de luxe in publisher's full vellum binding with gilt decorations and lettering to front, back and spine, the latter a trifle darkened; on back cover is imprinted in gilt "Queenwood Eastbourne" below an eagle with the motto "Sum Spiro Aspiro". Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Tiny nick to bottom edge of spine. Decorative titlepage. Light foxing to endpapers. Large presentation inscription to first free endpaper, "Evelyn Dall VI Conduct, Courtsey, Comradeship, 1911. Presented by a few Old Girls." VG+ copy. An anthology of writing extolling the merits of friendship by many writers including Willam Morris, Charles Lamb, Robert Browning, Walt Whitman, Thomas Carlyle, Christina, Rossetti, Edmund Waller, Leigh Hunt, Robert Herrick.
