[xvii], 500 pp. Decorative cloth. Minor wear and bumping to extremities, with a more significant case of wear to corner of front board. Darkening to spine. Light scratches to fore-edge. Binding is a little loose in parts. Internally clean. An encylopaedia of kitchen and cooking terminology from by the renowned chef, Auguste Kettner who, after working in some of the leading restaurants on the continent, opened a much-loved restaurant in Soho, frequented by high society. 8vo.

We have been trading in Chiswick for 55 years - come and visit us in our bow-windowed c18th shop. All of our shipments are now tracked. Our Standard service is currently Royal Mail Tracked with FedEx, UPS and Parcelforce for larger parcels; local conditions vary so please be patient with us. Stephen Foster ; Foster Books, 183 Chiswick High Road, London W4 2DR. Old and rare books, a good turnover of stock leaning towards Arts subjects. Fine bindings, illustrated, literature. Only 5 minutes walk from Turnham Green tube station on the District Line in West London. The Chiswick shop is open Monday to Saturday 10-30 to 17-30 GMT and most Sundays 11 to 5 and earlier at the beginning of the month when the Flower and Antiques Markets are on in front of the shop (by all means call in advance to be sure). We only list a small proportion of the ever changing stock.
