Undated but 1713, volume two only, of two, this volume titled A Compleat History of the Campaign in the year 1708, but also includes compleat histories for 1709, 1710, 1711 and 1712, followed by An Abstract on the Treaty of Peace Concluded at Utrecht 1713, pp221-448, (12pp) index, 9 double-page engraved maps of Low Country Towns and Villages, each entitles "An Exact Plan of." dedicated to different notables by Thomas Brodrick, original full calf neatly rebacked with new spine, blind-tooled boards, spine has raised bands and gilt lettering, early ink signature of previous owner on front pastedown, generally very good internally, one or two stains on pp392-393 and the plan of Dunkirk (see photos) and one or two folds, closed tears to pages One of the first accounts of Marlborough's Low Country Campaign in the War of the Spanish Succession. The Old Hall Bookshop was established in 1977 by John and Lady Juliet Townsend. The Old Hall is a very fine 18th century house in the centre of Brackley, a pleasant market town about 18 miles north of Oxford. The shop has a large stock of antiquarian, second-hand, new books and maps covering a wide range of interests and prices. We welcome visitors and trade customers. Parking is easy in the Market Square. Disabled access available. Opening hours: We are open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5:30pm excluding bank holidays US Customs may now review all UK origin shipments. We ship books under HS CODE 4901.99.00 which remain duty free, though some US states may apply sales tax or handling charges.…
