5-3/8"x 7-13/16", 288pp incl. prelims. Printed on acidic paper and bound in sewn signatures in varnished printed card stock cover. Minor shelf wear, edge wear, age discoloration to cover, and the bottom fore corner is creased. Binding is square and tight. Name of previous owner, the British Columbia labour leader and Communist Party activist Tom McEwen, is written in ink on the half title page. Edges are lightly age toned, and the top edge is age discolored with some foxing. Pages remain bright and are clean and unmarked.

Canada's oldest independent bookstore, the People's Co-operative Bookstore Association was formed in 1945 by a broad coalition of Vancouver's progressive movements, from trade unionists and Marxists to social democrats and Christian social justice activists. Owned and operated by its member-shareholders, it is a registered co-op operating under the Co-operative Associations Act of British Columbia. Anyone can join. Since 1983, the People's Co-op Bookstore has been located at 1391 Commercial, in the heart of Commercial Drive. Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week, the People's Co-op offers a selection of 20,000 new and used books at its brick and mortar location, with a selection of specialized and uncommon books listed on our Abebooks account.
