I am pleased to offer a vintage book titled: "The Cause and Cure of Infidelity: Including a Notice of the Author's Unbelief and the Means of his Rescue" by Rev. David Nelson. This book is bound in blind-stamped tan paper boards with gilt titles on the spine. The only illustration is that of a tissue-guarded engraved portrait of the Author. The book was published by the American Tract Society of New York, dated 1841 and the Second Stereotype Edition, corrected by the Author. Please see the photos of the Table of Contents for your further information. And by the way, this book is about "infidelity" to Christianity or to the church, not as I thought, about infidelity in a marriage.
Condition: This book is in very good condition. The blind-stamped boards are bumped, to the board and lightly soiled and the gilt titles on the spine are hard to read. I would say that the boards are also dust-dulled. Inside, the book is unmarked although the right-hand page of the front endpaper has been torn out (which probably included some markings about past owners). The book is also both soiled and foxed throughout but nothing so severe with either type that the legibility of the text is affected. The front hinge is cracked but the rear is intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
