He points out that left-handedness is as a rule less strong and consistent than right-handedness, suggesting an underlying difference in nervous organization. Further, there is evidence that the mechanism of speech in left-handed individuals involves both cerebral hemispheres to a far greater extent than is the case among the right-handed.
