Orig. blue morocco-grained cloth, blocked in blind, spine lettered 'Slavic Poetry' in gilt; sl. dulled. a.e.g. v.g. 80pp. A privately printed anthology of mainly Russian poetry, but also including representative verses of Servian, Bulgarian, Rutherian, Polish, Slovak, Lusatian, Slovanzi, & Bohemian. The subscribers list is an impressive compilation of society and establishment figures including the Duchesses of Norfolk, Somerset and Sutherland, the Marchioness of Kildare, the Dowager Countess of Essex, the Baronesses L. de Rothschild and M. de Rothschild together with Lady Anthony de Rothschild, &c.
