Half title, photographic & other illus. by the author. Orig. printed wrappers; sl. dusted. Ownership inscription of E.S. Whittaker & small stamp on half title of Celda Museo Federico Chopin y George Sand. (96)pp. London Library, Oxford & Cambridge only on Copac, not BL. Preceded by a 53pp. 1935 edition which is at Lancaster only. In 1838-39, Chopin and Sand, with her two children, shared cell No. 4 at the recently vacated Carthusian monastery at Valldememossa. The room is now a museum.
