Nineteenth century ecclesiastical calf, sometime rebacked with the old spine relaid, title and following leaf a bit dusty at the edges and with fore-edges strengthened, the second leaf a bit creased in the gutter, occasional old and light marginal damp-marking, occasional edge chip with very slight loss of margin, one plate trimmed to the margins and laid down, marbled end-papers, edges stained red, still a nice copy. *ESTC R14493 - pagination : [8], 171, [9], 200, 153-375, 384-427, [9], 235, [9], 114, [4], 117-238, [10], 172, [4], 5-22, [22] p. [5] leaves of plates : register : a A-E4 F G-Y4 2A-2N4 2O 2P-2Q4 [superscript chi]R 2R-2Z4, 2A-2I4 3C-3Z4 3a-3g4 3h , 2[par.]4 3A4 3B-3Z4, 43A-3G 4 4A-4Z4 4 5A-5B4, 4 4C-4G4 1 4H 1 5a4 1 5A-5R4, 6 4S-4X4 6 4Y 6 6A-6C4 1[par.]-2[par.]4 1 3[par.] . The copy above differs very slightly in pagination but corresponds exactly with the register for the copy in ESTC, but lacks the 3 blanks at : 2R4 1 4H2, and 6 6C4. Second, sixth, seventh, ninth and eleventh books have divisional title pages with continuous pagination and register, tenth book has divisional title page but with separate pagination, third and eighth books have separate dated title pages and separate pagination, and fourth and fifth books have separate dated title pages with continuous pagination and register. Appended, with special title pages, are Fuller's "The history of the University of Cambridge since the conquest" ([viii], 172 p.) and "The history of VValtham-Abby in Essex, founded by King Harold" (22 p.).
