[viii], 324, [4] pp. Full brown calf with raised bands, red leather title labels and gilt lettering to the spine. Each volume is wrapped in protective brown paper with printed labels taped to the spines. Endpapers marbled. With illustration to the first page of text in each volume. Rubbing and chipping to the leather at the spines and boards and splitting to the hinges of each volume. Some off-setting to the text throughout, darkening to the edges of the front and endmatter of each volume & pencil markings to the first free endpaper of volume 1. Edited by George Pearch, this collection of poetry by various authors is a supplement to the collection edited by Robert Dodsley under the same title, first published in 1748. 8vo.

We have been trading in Chiswick for 55 years - come and visit us in our bow-windowed c18th shop. All of our shipments are now tracked. Our Standard service is currently Royal Mail Tracked with FedEx, UPS and Parcelforce for larger parcels; local conditions vary so please be patient with us. Stephen Foster ; Foster Books, 183 Chiswick High Road, London W4 2DR. Old and rare books, a good turnover of stock leaning towards Arts subjects. Fine bindings, illustrated, literature. Only 5 minutes walk from Turnham Green tube station on the District Line in West London. The Chiswick shop is open Monday to Saturday 10-30 to 17-30 GMT and most Sundays 11 to 5 and earlier at the beginning of the month when the Flower and Antiques Markets are on in front of the shop (by all means call in advance to be sure). items will be sent via registered airmail or one of the courier services. Large
orders can be sent via consolidation, which reduces the cost per book. In the
unlikely event of an incorrect description, a full refund will be provided, but
please e-mail/telephone first, and within seven days of receipt of the book.
All books are published in London and 8vo. unless stated, and remain my property
until paid for in full.
