complete with half-title, each poem with its own half-title; half title offset, title-page slightly soiled, a few minor patches of browning but good withal, pp. [iv], 199, 12mo, contemporary full tan sheep, double gilt fillets, blind roll at board edges, red lettering piece on spine, headcap defective, corners slightly worn, good. A good copy of this anthology of five English narrative poems, printed in Paris, each with its own half-title. A variant with the same date lists the work as available from bookseller Theophilus Barrois. Barrois and Stoupe frequently produced English works for a French audience, apparently undeterred by the spectacular failure of Anglo-French relations in this period. (ESTC T87794).
