Item description from seller

Full calf, 10 1/2 inches tall. A stunning full 'cat's paw' calf by Clarke & Bedford, one of the greatest firms of London binders of the late 19th century. With gilt raised bands, very fine floral gilt tooling to the panels and gilt corner tools and triple fillet framing the boards. Gilt dentelles and all edges. Embellished with 50 hand coloured plates representing the military uniforms of the 'République et de l'Empire'. A wonderful copy with the armorial bookplate of Edward Nicholas Hurt.
