Color the Green Movement Blue: A Remedy for Environmental Health

What if the path to a healthier environment didn't start with carbon credits and green slogans-but with muddy boots, wild rivers, and a deep respect for nature's design?

In Color the Green Movement Blue, Anthony P. Mauro, Sr. delivers a compelling call to action for rethinking environmentalism from the ground up. Through a mix of philosophy, personal stories, and political insight, Maurointroduces the concept of blue-collar conservation-a hands-on, values-driven approach to ecological stewardship rooted in outdoor traditions like hunting and fishing.

Drawing on his experience as cofounder of the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance, Mauro critiques the commercialization of the green movement and offers a powerful alternative: reconnecting with the land, respecting the wisdom of nature, and forming grassroots alliances to influence public policy.

This book is part memoir, part environmental treatise, and part political manifesto-a timely read for conservationists, outdoorsmen and women, policymakers, and anyone who believes that healing the planet starts with understanding our place in it.

Bold, insightful, and unapologetically authentic, this is a new voice in environmental thought-and one that demands to be heard.

Anthony P. Mauro Sr. is a multifaceted author whose writings explore the deeper currents of life-environmental consciousness, spiritual awareness, personal transformation, and the wonder of living-sometimes with gravity, sometimes with a grin. His books-"Color the Green Movement Blue", "Caring for Carol by Caring for Me", and "Silent Sounds"-weave together themes of natural resource appreciation, personal resilience, and a profound understanding of life's complexities. Fighting Mark Twain adds sharp wit to the mix, demonstrating that even wisdom benefits from a touch of humor. Mauro founded three nonprofit organizations under the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance umbrella, helped create the New Jersey Angling and Hunting Conservation Caucus, and was selected by Governor Chris Christie to serve on his transition subcommittee for environmental protection. Just as his environmental work fosters a connection to the natural world, his writing delves into the unseen forces that shape our spiritual lives. Whether through advocacy, insight, or a well-placed quip, his mission remains clear: to inspire understanding, responsibility, resilience, and a deeper connection to the world and the people around us.
