12mo, pp. viii, 420, [2] + engraved frontispiece portrait. Final leaf of ads discarded. Contemporary half black calf, marbled boards, spine divided by raised bands between blind rules, lettered in gilt, other compartments diced in blind. Some dampmarks to frontispiece, a little spotting throughout. Binding rubbed and slightly worn to extremities. Faint remnants of pencil notes to endpapers. A scarce compilation. Motherwell notes that ?such of its ballads as are for the first time published, are all modern?. Seller Inventory # 5463
