Communication Strategies in Disaster Management: Post Election Violence in Kenya

The concept of disaster management has received considerable research attention in natural and human disaster context, but the role of communication strategies in managing political violence has not been comprehensively studied and documented. In this book, Patrick Maluki and Nelly Oluoch explore the various communication strategies employed by the Kenya Red Cross Society in managing the 2008 postelection disaster in Eldoret, Kenya.
