Limited edition, number 1598 of 2300 sets for sale in England, from a total edition of 4300; 2 vols, 8vo; black and white full-page illustrations by Frank C. Pape, minor foxing to plates in vol. I, else unmarked internally; red half morocco by Bayntun (stamp to front free endpapers), spines gilt in compartments, top edges gilt, marbled endpapers; an attractive set. Limited to 4300 copies of which 2300 are for England and 2000 are for the United States. This set is numbered 1598. Translated into English by Sir Thomas Urquhart and Peter Motteux, with annotations by Duchat, Ozell and others.
