Hardback, 8vo. stamped cloth, 196pp. Appendix, ads. covers worn with sometime repair to back strip, lacking free end papers, front paste down defaced, ink blot to title and scrawl to verso also to p.iv, the rest of the contents, clean and tight. This is, in the author s own words, a monster list of puddings comprising over a thousand recipes for puddings plain and fancy, hot, cold and iced, sweet and savoury. Massey & Son were a firm of caterers specialising in the dressing of dinners, ball suppers, wedding breakfasts etc. in the first style of culinary art. Their clients numbered Royalty, the aristocracy et al. Not in good condition as is described above but a unique copy of a very scarce item bearing the book plate of the much loved and missed Fat Lady, Clarissa Dixon Wright.
