Copy of the Resolutions and Orders, made at a Court of Gaol Sessions, for the County of York, held on Thursday the 24th March, [and 24th April], 1825. [4]pp. Rather dusty and central fold held by just the lower inch. Several minor marginal tears without loss, and old fold marks. 4to. [York, 1825]. ~ Unrecorded in FirstSearch. The resolutions include a doubling of the Chaplain’s salary, a matron be selected for the Gaol, and to “appoint any Architect they think proper, to build such Prison as they consider adequate to the necessity of the county.” There is also an Abstract of Expenditure, noting costs of cloathing for felons, weekly allowance to criminal prisoners, advertising and printing charges, payments to stationer and bookseller, and £30 for a lythographic plan.
