Single sheet broadside, SIZE : c.21.5 x 27 cms., printed recto only, a very good copy. *No copy recorded on COPAC, nor in HELFAND's book on the Sellers of Nostrums, 'Quack, Quack, Quack,' 2002, nor is there a copy in Helfand's Collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Library as so far digitized. The treatment of corns etc., was certainly a collective issue during the mid-nineteenth century, as attested by the literature - for example, 'A concise treatise on the disorders of the human foot, corns, bunions, and diseased nails', by Louis J. Adolphus. 1865; 'A treatise on corns, bunions, and ingrowing of the toe-nail : their cause and treatment', by T. J. Ashton, 1852; Specification of Thomas Randle : composition for eradicating corns, &c. 1865. Leicester, of course, would have been an ideal location for Anderson's enterprise as it was the centre of English shoe-making, the first report of this industry in the area being in 1827.
