Guglielmo Facciotti, Roma 1618. 4to (16,5 x 22 cm). (8)+284+(4) pages. Engraved titleleaf and three engraved plates. Numerous woodcut initials. Woodcut printer's device to the verso of the last leaf. Bound in contemporary limp vellum. binding, somewhat rubbed and stained. Title to the spine in ink. Some dampstaining to the last leaves, Some foxing. Corners of the leaves bumped. The first four leaves with some fraying to the margin (not affecting text) and a bit sagging in the binding, but still attached. A bit shaky at the inner hinges. Name blotted out to the titleleaf. * An attempt to make a great rhymed epos of the life of Jesus Christ in the style of the Iliad, Odyssey or Aeneid. Apparently the attempt failed, as this is the only edition made of the work. in old hand to the verso of the last endpaper.
