Both second and third editions published in same year as the first "In neither of them was any change made in the text. Of the three original editions.together three thousand copies were printed" Wise, page 42. Bound with THE ISLAND, or CHRISTIAN AND HIS COMRADES, third edition, half title, title page, 94pp, includes a 14 page appendix titles "Extract from the Voyage by Captain Bligh", 2pp adverts for books published by John Hunt, dated June 1823, printed for John Hunt, London, 1823. "As with The Age of Bronze, three thousand copies in three editions were published in the same year" Wise page 43. Some spotting on endpapers, one or two marks in the text, half leather with marbled boards, some staining and loss to the boards at the corners, neatly repaired with new labels on a banded spine.
