About the author - Deborah Dalley Deborah was a trainer with the Greater Manchester Police and lectured at Salford University. Deborah has been delivering assertive communication workshops for over 25 years for groups in the public, private and voluntary sectors. She delivers training sessions, coaches individuals and facilitates team events that specialise in helping people successfully deal with difficult situations. About the Author of Developing your Assertiveness Skills, Deborah Dalley Deborah has been working in the field of learning and development for over 25 years. Prior to setting up her own company in 2000 she worked as a training consultant for Greater Manchester Police and a part time lecturer at Salford University. The majority of Deborah's work involves helping people to find ways to deal with difficult situations. This includes running training workshops, coaching individuals and facilitating team events. She works in a range of organisations including many universities, local authorities, NHS trusts and private companies. Her particular areas of interest and expertise include: developing ways to improve organisational and personal communication; helping people to develop their ability to influence with integrity and to recognise the difference between effective influencing and manipulation. She has recently developed a framework for having difficult conversations which is being widely used in a number of organizations.
