Early edition in pleasingly unsophisticated contemporary sheep binding, unadorned except with blind rules Small octavo in very good early 18th century full sheep, just starting at the tail of the hinge between front board and spine; no pastedowns; engraved title page on verso of A1, as if functioning as a frontispiece; fraying to foreedge of this leaf. Ownership signature of 'Hannah Dagworthy 1765' to title page. Paper repairs in the gutter to E3/4; ink facsimile of a few letters near the foreedge on K1r where the printing isn't clear. A little insect damage to the foreedge of several leaves around L1 and to the final leaves: collates complete as called for. Seller (1646-1705) was a non-juring divine and controversialist.
