2 Vols. Volume I: Days 1-50, 18 June - 6 August 1942. Volume II: Days 51-100, 7 August - 25 September 1942. A very nice hand-set limited edition of 200 copies.The diary was kept for a close friend, a conscientious objector, who in 1942 lost his appeal against military service and was sent to Shannon Detention Camp in the North Island for the duration of the war. It was intended to keep him in touch with happenings at Canterbury College where he had been a student.
