From the covetable cookware brand Our Place (makers of the super-popular Always Pan®), this entertaining cookbook features more than 100 dinner party–worthy recipes and menus that celebrate culture and community.
Our Place, the cookware brand that took the food world by storm, has always been about more than their brilliantly designed products—it’s about bringing people together, celebrating cultures, and cultivating connections. And what better way to do that, than through sharing a meal? Co-founder and CEO Shiza Shahid invited 11 pioneering tastemakers, chefs, and restauranteurs to take a month and throw a dinner party for you to join. In Dinner at Our Place, you’ll find more than 100 recipes and 12 specially curated dinner parties, plus playlists, mood lighting guides, plating philosophies, scripts for talking to your fishmonger, and so much more:
- January: Family Dinner with Shiza Shahid
- February: Valentine’s Kitsch for Friends & Lovers with Jen Monroe
- March: A Goodbye Party for Winter with Lauren Schaefer & Amiel Stanek
- April: The Fullness of Spring with Maryah Ananda
- May: First of the Season BBQ with Bill Clark
- June: In the Garden with Brad Ogbonna
- July: Dinner Is the Destination with Gerardo Gonzalez
- August: A Reimagined Caribbean Feast with DeVonn Francis
- September: A (Re)Birthday Party with Susan Kim
- October: Spooky Stoops & Frightening Feasts with Angel Dimayuga
- November: A Better Friendsgiving with Kia Damon
- December: Mama’s Da Bin Lo (Hot Pot) with Keegan Fong & Mama Fong
This comprehensive entertaining guide, complete with curated menus, unbeatable vibes, and a diverse array of delicious and achievable recipes (think Saffron Tachin, Whole Salt-Roasted Fish, Shiso Onigiri, Chili Chocolate Sheet Cake, a Spritz’groni, and more), is a stylish invitation to host, throw your favorite apron on, and make a party out of cooking and eating.

About the Author
Our Place is a modern kitchenware brand, and so much more. Everything they do—from the products they design to the stories they share—is rooted in their mission to make cooking and sharing a meal easier and more joyful. They believe in the transformative power of uplifting the differences in how people cook and eat together, and that sharing our traditions, new and old, will help bring the disparate edges of the world closer together.
Shiza Shahid is an entrepreneur, investor, technologist, activist, and world-renowned impact leader. She co-founded Our Place to build a business rooted in representation and positive change in the food world and the world beyond. As an immigrant, Shiza literally found her place in America by cooking for and breaking bread with her new chosen family. Shiza grew up in Pakistan as a vocal advocate for women’s rights and social justice. She co-founded the Malala Fund with Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, and built the organization as founding CEO.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
