Add to basketPayson and Clarke, LTD. New York, 1927. "The Collectors Library, Dolls". Book is hardbound. Condition is Very Good+ with No DJ. Book is cloth bound in purplish-pink cloth with a star shaped pictograph on front, Title and author, along with a few more picto's on the spine as well. There is minor edge and spine wear, some fading. The papers here are somewhat deckle cut. Inside front and back end papers are slightly discolored, it looks due to a few newsprint or similar items that must have been kept here in the past, none was found within book. Gorgeous, hand colored doll photo is on the Frontispiece, with a caption written on the tissue which reads "Doll, 1870, owned by Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt, United States National Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.". Appears to be a French Fashion doll. On Copyright page it is stated as a "First Printing". Has a preface written by author, Table of Contents and a full list of Illustrations which are very nice,detailed black and white photo's pictured throughout the text. Also has a full index to the back. The inside of this book is near fine condition, looks almost unread, and very clean.
