First edition. Duodecimo. ( 178mm. ) Pp. [10], [1] 2 - 184. Plates[1] frontispiece of Dunfermline Fratery. Uncut. Endpapers a little age toned otherwise a clean fresh copy. Original drab paper backed boards, corners bumped Later paper spine with printed paper label. An attractive copy in the original paper backed boards. An uncommon book, surprisingly the Library Hub Discover ( on-line 6/23 ) locates only six copies. The author Andrew Mercer (1773-1842), poet and photographer; gave up theology for miniature painting. He wrote for magazines in Edinburgh, before settling at Dunfermline where he taught drawing and wrote poems. Seller Inventory # 000649
