Second edition, 12mo, xii, 5-364pp., with 21 mounted samples of dyed fabric specimens, unobtrusive marginal water-staining to first and last 3 leaves, inner hinges shaken, orig. publishers red embossed cloth, lower joint worn through to boards. First published in 1850 without specimens, this second edition adds' nearly 100 additional receipts, with dyed patterns affixed.' Armorial bookplate of J. Schofield, Milnrow, Lancashire, to rear endpaper.
