Dynamics, the Geometry of Behavior, Part 2: Chaotic Behavior by Abraha, Ralph.

Dynamics is emerging as an important conceptual scheme, unifying the sciences -- physical, biological, and social -- in a common geometric model. This book, the second of a series, introduces the basic concepts of chaotic dynamics, through the most important experimental discoveries of the last two decades. Written for a general audience, without the assumption of previous training in math or the sciences. Visual presentation, the hallmark of the Visual Mathematics Library, makes the ideas accessible. About the Authors : RALPH H. ABRAHAM is Professor of Mathematics at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He received the Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Michigan in 1960, and taught at Berkeley, Columbia, and Princeton before moving to Santa Cruz in 1968. He is the author of "Linear and Multilinear Algebra", "Foundations of Mechanics" (with J.E. Marsden), "Transversal Mappings and Flows" (with J. Robbin), and "Manifolds, Tensor Analysis, and Applications" (with J.E. Marsd
