Privately Printed, New York, 1910, LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES, title page, facsimile title page, (x) + 189 pages, b/w frontispiece, original cloth, top edges gilt, previous owner's name in pencil (dated 1910) on the half-title page, a few slight marks on the covers, in very good condition. NOTE: Although the title-page states that it is "Reprinted from the Scarce London Edition of 1723", it seems, in fact, to be reprinted from the "dishonest reprint" of c.1812. According to the introduction to the 1873 Pitman edition, there was a "dishonest reprint" which has a date of 1723 on the title page, the name of the publisher spelled with a single "l" and a price of "five shillings" instead of the "two shillings and sixpence" of the original edition, which is the case with the facsimile title page of this edition.
