First edition. With a two page autograph letter signed by Christopher St John to English theatre historian Walter McQueen Pope loosely inserted. In the letter St. John thanks McQueen Pope for agreeing to deliver the tribute to Ellen Terry at the 1952 Ellen Terry Performance held at Priest's House in Smallhythe. Also with two black and white postcards of Priest's House. 8vo., original cloth with price-clipped dust wrapper. Wrapper with a little chipping and creasing otherwise a very good copy. This festschrift includes contributions from, inter alia, Edward Gordon Craig, Dame Sybil Thordike, Violet Pym and Vita Sackville West.
