Printed blue paper wrappers, with later black cloth spine; pp. 30, [2]; light chipping to lower margin of front wrapper; with a few light marks to binding; light even toning to paper-stock; pencil inscriptions to text; a good copy of a very rare work. The British Library has a copy, published 1856. Not much is widely available on the original text or author. A short pamphlet detailing Egypt's importance and central position in the Ancient World. 'Egypt, to the historian and the antiquary, is one of the most interesting and wonderful of all countries. Its monumental relics, in their number, magnitude, and splendour, as also in the vast amount of information they convey, far exceed those of any region' (p. 1).
