In gilt titled red cloth, corners & edges rubbed. Spine, gilt titles, edges worn, cracked at head. DW tape repaired. Internally, half title, coloured frontis, [4], (v-ix), [1], 707 pp, [1], [4] adverts, 24 pls (including 4 coloured), 300 facsimile reproductions, no dated but c1929, lower joint a little weak. 6th edition. (285*221 mm). Pages 87-705 contain a dictionary of the more important engravers and their works.
