Third Edition, Corrected and Greatly Enlarged. 8vo. hardback in half contemporary tan calf with decorative gilt to spine and marbled boards. All edges speckled brown. 578pp. plus 32pp. Index at end. With large fold-out Table, trimmed so that a few letters on the far right side are missing (please see photo). A clean copy with no markings or inscriptions. Occasional offsetting and light foxing, heavier to prelims. Marbled boards rather rubbed and very slight rubbing to spine. A VERY GOOD, HANDSOME COPY. Canterbury is close to London (about 1 1/2 hours by train) and only 30 minutes drive from the Channel Tunnel. The Chaucer Bookshop is situated in a beautiful 18th Century building inside Canterbury's city walls. The building was originally one house but was established as a bookshop in 1956. The adjoining property was also later acquired and the bookshop greatly extended. Amongst the wide range of books (on 2 floors) you will find art, architecture, history, English literature, topography, travel, food and wine, railways and many more. We have a variety of original prints and maps for sale and a selection of modern First Editions and fine bindings. We also stock a comprehensive range of Fine Art greetings cards and wrapping paper.
