Das Londoner Architekturbüro Wilkinson Eyre Architects, 1983 gegründet, macht seit den 1990er Jahren durch eine Vielzahl innovativer und phantasievoller Bauten auf sich aufmerksam. Ein Schwerpunkt bilden spektakuläre und konstruktiv anspruchsvolle Brücken, zu deren bekanntesten und preisgekrönten die Gateshead Millennium Bridge (2001) und die Floral Street Bridge (2003) gehören. Das Büro hat eine Vielzahl von Preisen gewonnen, darunter zweimal den RIBA Stirling Prize. Mit der Teilnahme an Wettbewerben für den Guangzhou West Tower in China und die Tensegrity Bridge in Washington DC, USA, stellt das Büro seine zunehmend internationale Präsenz unter Beweis.
