Another in this popular mid-twentieth-century children's series, each written & illustrated by different authors/artists. This one is about our feathered friends, in 93 pages with Index, with decorative endpapers & internal drawings by M. K. Scott. A FIRST EDITION, 12th printing, from 1950, this hardcover 8vo (7.25" x 8.75") has light gray-tan cloth-covered boards stamped to front with black images of primitive tools & lettering, black lettering to spine. It is in Near Fine condition: extremely clean, pages creamy white & completely unmarked, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Slight bubble to front gutter. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $1.95 price intact to front flap) is VG: colorful & bright, but with mild chipping to spine tips & all corner, a few tiny holes to upper back cover (in the edge of the far-right cloud).
